Mailbutler News
What makes Mailbutler better than macOS Ventura?
The new Ventura update adds new features to Apple Mail, but Mailbutler still excels in improving your email communication. Find out why here.
Tiffany studied Language and Economics, and now likes to write about business topics and conduct interviews with interesting people. She spends her free time looking after her plants and with her dog.
We are introducing the Sidebar! A new tool that makes organising emails even easier.
We all have those stressed moments of trying to locate a specific Note that is lost in a sea of emails. As the email thread becomes longer, it becomes confusing to find older Notes and Tasks.
We feel your concern and have therefore been improving our user-interface. We created the Sidebar which has all of your user needs in one place. The Sidebar makes it easier to track Notes and Tasks related to any conversation.
In order for our user base to better understand this new tool, we have created some explanatory scenarios. We’ve invited three characters to show you how the Sidebar improves their workflow. Let’s meet Tina, Toby, and Mark.
As CEO of an international company in Hong Kong, Tina travels a lot and is always busy. She shares an inbox with her assistant Jane and both use Tasks to help organise their day.
Before, Tina often didn’t have enough time to contact Jane when travelling. The Tasks that she quickly put in her emails would often get lost in the shuffle and be overlooked by Jane. This caused Tina and Jane’s work life to become hectic and disorganised.
Now, the Sidebar will be a benefit for both. Tina can now create Tasks even more quickly and share them with Jane. Jane has a much better overview of the Tasks that need to be finished and the ones that are already done. The Sidebar makes work for Jane easier and Tina’s life less stressful as she can be sure that all the Tasks will be completed on time.
He is a Human Resource Manager at a start-up in Berlin. In order to hire new employees, he needs approval from different departments and attaches shared Notes for the managers.
Previously, as a thread became more complex, he would have had difficulty locating different Notes. This started to frustrate him because he couldn’t work productively.
Now, the Sidebar allows him to organise his Notes more efficiently. His newly reorganised Notes tell him what to do with each application. This helps him save time and avoid making mistakes.
He works in Customer Support for a bank in San Francisco. He sends a lot of emails to customers and spends a lot of time waiting for replies. His favourite feature is the Tasks feature.
Before, when Mark had a long thread with a demanding customer, he would often become confused and forget to use follow-up Tasks. This type of oversight caused some clients to become agitated and they even closed their bank accounts.
Today, the Sidebar is his number one assistant. It helps him set follow-up tasks and stay up-to-date with his customers. Now he can even set follow-up tasks for already sent emails. It makes his work easier and his customers more satisfied.
Tina, Toby, and Mark are all happy with their new Sidebar, because it allows them to easily review Tasks and Notes. It saves them time and simplifies their email usage. Try it now by registering for Mailbutler.

We have also made a step-by-step guide that teaches you how to use the Sidebar.

Hello Katherine,
You can minimize the sidebar (and it will stay out of view) by simply clicking on the Mailbutler “M” symbol in the upper right corner of your email client. If you have any problems with that, such as the sidebar not staying minimized, or if you have other questions, please write to us at support@mailbutler.io.
