2.2.3 – November 13th, 2018

New Features

  • We constantly strive to improve communication between you as a user and our team. Mailbutler now shows you real time information when there's abnormal server status.
  • You can now earn (and give) free actions through our Referral Program. Simply share your personal referral link and receive 5 free actions whenever a new user signs up through your link. (Learn more)

Improvements

  • We've drastically improved the stability and speed of our backend server. Thank you for providing us feedback!
  • When an error occurs, Mailbutler will now send an automatic report (error log) for you to inform our team, which makes support way easier and faster.
  • It was not clear for some users that clicking the Contact Details button again will minimize the window. So we added a close button, which does the same job.
  • We improved the browser drop-down menu, which now links you to our homepage and shows your account info more clearly, especially for multi-account uesrs.

Fixes

  • Dropdown menu for Message Templates now show correctly next to the compose button.
  • You should be able to share a Message Template without receiving an incorrect 'out of actions' message.
  • Resolved compatability issues with some 3rd party Chrome extensions.
  • Fixed an issue causing some users to not being able to mark a shared task as complete. You can now check those to-do boxes as much as your heart desires.
  • Some users reported that Notes and Tasks attached to a message get hidden inside conversation view. Now they don't. They're always there.
  • We fixed an issue where the email header in Mail could disappear under 10.12 Sierra (which is, by far, the weirdest bug we encountered).
  • Mailbutler was quite confident that you should opt out from newsletters that it thought was junk. So confident that it hid the 'Not Junk' button from Mail app. We fixed that bug (and attitude).

  • Compatibility mode support for POP accounts: You can now use Send Later and Snooze with POP accounts (compatibility mode only, 10.12 or later).

2.2 – October 2nd, 2018

New Features

  • Compatibility Mode: The new Mailbutler comes with new Snooze and Send Later functionalities which run when you are offline. However this means certain email servers are not supported. We therefore introduced compatibility mode, which will allow Snooze and Send Later to work normally again. *Please note that Snooze and Send Later for email accounts on compabitility mode will only run when your computer stays awake.
  • Mailbutler now supports Outlook.com, Yahoo! and AOL email accounts!
  • We're very excited to introduce the brand new Analytics tab, which gives you stat insights to your feature usage, saved time, and email performance enhanced by Mailbutler.
  • Your Dashboard now comes with brand new beautiful widgets that bring you personalized insights to your Mailbutler usage. You can also catch up easily with product and blog updates through 'What's new' section on your Dashboard home.
  • Find out and compare how you're using Mailbutler with the new Mailbutler Personality view on your Dashboard home.
  • Mailbutler is now fully compatible with Gmail's new Material Design.

Improvements

  • We've removed Mailbutler's Snooze functionality since it is now a Gmail feature.
  • Instead of asking for permission upon installation, Mailbutler will now request for account access only when you first use a feature that actually requires it (such as scheduling.)

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where all the visible contacts from the inbox showed in thread views contact sidebar after navigating from inbox to thread view.

  • We've resolved some issues where some users' did not have their email meta information displayed in Dashboard.
  • In certain cases installation under Mojave could fail. This shouldn't happen any more.
  • In certain cases Mojave users coming from older versions of Mailbutler could end up with multiple plugins in Mail's 'Manage Plug-Ins…' preferences. Now there can only be one. This should also fix a case where an older version of Mailbutler would stick around and cause repeating alerts that an incompatible 'Mailbutler.mailbundle' was detected.

Fixes

  • When Mailbutler first asks for permission to access your data, pressing the 'authorize' button did nothing for mac users. That was totally unintentional. Please click it with confidence now :)
  • Corrected an issue that causes your Activity Feed on Chrome to show you more (and unnecessary) information.
  • Fixed lots of minor issues and rare crashes.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes in the menu bar app.
  • Fixed an issue where Tracking would stop working if you replied to another Mailbutler User's mail (or your own).
  • We removed duplicated Smart mailboxes from legacy versions of Mailbutler.
  • Custom Snooze times are sorted correctly now.
  • Fixed an issue where you would be notified incorrectly of missing attachments after uploading via Mailbutler's Cloud Upload
  • Using "Send Again" no longer causes error with Tracking.
  • Resolved an issue where grey Tracking checkmarks (indicating unopened) would sometimes be displayed on sent emails that were never tracked in the first place.
  • No more crashes when you disable Mailbutler tools in the compose window.
  • Your default signature now shows up correctly when you compose a new message using Templates.
  • Our contact data provider changed the format they deliver Contact info in. We made some changes and now it works again.
  • The Mailbutler badge will now sit nicely on top of your custom Mail.app icon.
  • Fixed an issue where uploading files with non-ASCII filenames to Dropbox was broken.
  • Fixed an issue where Mail crashes when you entered Time Machine.
  • Please make sure to only make changes to your Notes & Tasks after the last change has been updated - otherwise this can cause duplicated versions (or occasional crashes on slower networks!)

2.1 – April 23rd, 2018

New Features

  • It's our top priority as your service provider that you're informed of how we handle and store your data. With the new privacy settings on Dashboard you can now control how much information Mailbutler stores about your emails. The new privacy setting affects how Mailbutler informs you of messages that are tracked, snoozed, scheduled, or attached with a Note / Task on your Activity Feed.
  • We've redesigned and optimized Notes and Tasks: it looks more compact and sleek, and it's now easier to share them with your Mailbutler team.
  • We will share more details on the new privacy settings and new Notes and Tasks in our upcoming blogposts.
  • You can now get an overview of all your emails enhanced by Mailbutler. This includes emails that are tracked, snoozed, scheduled, or with notes / tasks attached. The new Emails view will replace existing Tracked, Snoozed, and Scheduled tabs on your Dashboard.

  • It was confusing to press the same Snooze button to unsnooze an email. So we created a new icon for unsnooze purposes.

  • You can now see how often you used a certain Message Template and even what the expected open rate is

  • Some users with Mailhub also installed on Apple Mail had all of their preference tabs disappeared. We fixed that, now Mailbutler and Mailhub will coexist peacefully on your Mail app.
